Bee’s Knees at Big Canoe is a 2 bedroom / 2 bath treetopper cottage located in the beautiful Big Canoe gated community. The master suite has a private bath with a jetted-air soaking tub and a queen size bed. You will find yourself cozy and wanting to be lazy as you look out the floor to ceiling windows. The second bedroom has two twin beds and a roll away folding bed is available if needed. The kitchen is stocked with everything you will need to prepare meals, and a gas grill will allow you to prepare the fish you caught in Lake Pettit the same day. Wifi is available with two smart TV’s, and smart locks give you easy access to the cottage. Laundry room is available for use and located downstairs. The Bee’s Knees is the perfect getaway for couples or small families of four or five. Come and experience outdoor living with indoor comforts. Nestled in the trees, you can sit back and watch the sunrise and spend time on the large wrap around deck, or sit in the hammock or swing below. Our outdoor living includes multiple places to escape and soak in the great outdoors surrounded by beautiful trees, wildlife, and seasonal views of Lake Pettit and Lake Disharoon. Do you want to plan a hike and a picnic? We have a picnic basket and blanket (located downstairs) available for use!
The Big Canoe gated community offers, first and foremost, tranquility! In this tranquil setting you can do as much or as little to make your stay what you desire in this 8000 acres community. During the spring, wildflowers and Rhododendron fill the forest. During the fall, the forest floor is carpeted with crunchy leaves and falling acorns. The smells and sounds are invigorating hiking in Georgia."

Summary: My wife and I stayed at Bees Knees for a getaway weekend, for rest, to explore and get to know Big Canoe and the Jasper area more, and to celebrate my birthday. The accommodations were wonderful. Perfectly set up and decorated. Had everything we needed. We felt very at home there. Even saw a family of deer wandering by while enjoying coffee on the outside balcony early one morning. Highly recommend. Thank you.

Summary: The place was as described. A lovely little place for quiet, hikes & nature which is what we were looking for. The owners were very responsive and flexible with adding an extra night last min. I would have liked more info on the parking situation before hand since it’s a little unclear where to park especially in the dark (parking is on the road) and maybe add a mixing bowl/large bowl. Overall it was a very lovely stay and we would stay there again.

Summary: This is a cozy quaint place, and my friend and I loved it. I will say that the neighborhood was a little difficult to navigate. I recommend making sure you have written instructions because the Internet kept going out so my navigation stopped working. We went round in circles many times! I would definitely consider this place for a future getaway.

Summary: We really enjoyed our stay. The sunrise every morning was breathtaking. The cabin had everything we needed. Planning another trip here for the fall!!!! The only thing I can think of in any negative way was unloading the van with all the steps down AND up . Luckily I had my 15 year old daughter with me and she did most of it. lol
